Next up was Channel Islands and once again the Cornish team put some fantastic all court tennis on show to take a well deserved 5-1 win.

Next the girls face two tough teams in Oxfordshire and local rivals Devon.

Day 2 (Sunday 13th September)

Following on from a very positive first day, the Cornish team knew that today was going to be much tougher but was up for the challenge.

First up was title favourites Oxfordshire , unfortunately Cornwall lost 5-1 but with 6 sets going to tie-breaks on another day the result could have  have been very different if a few points went our way.

Next up was local rivals Devon , once again the girls put on some very brave performances and particularly pleased with the way they moved around the court during the matches enabling much better balance during the shots. Overall Cornwall went down 4-2. This meant a creditable 3rd place overall.  I was really pleased with the girls all weekend, they put everything into every match and listened to the coaches and all came away with so many positives and a few things to add into their games and already looking forward to another opportunity next year.
