Ladies Over 35s narrowly miss out on promotion

Cornwall Ladies Over 35s narrowly missed out on promotion at the LTA Over 35s County Cup in Eastbourne, falling just one rubber short of moving up after an incredibly tight three days of grass-court action.

Day 1: Cornwall secured a hard-fought opening victory against local rivals Devon.

Day 2: The team suffered a heartbreaking 3-2 loss to Suffolk, which ultimately proved to be the deciding tie for the group’s promotion spot.

Day 3: Captain Clare Hudson rallied the squad for a dominant response, leading Cornwall to a flawless 5-0 clean sweep against Dorset to close out the weekend on a high note.

Team players were Hannah, Julie, Flora, Amelia and Clare (captain)
