U12 Boys give their all at County Cup

The Cornwall 12u Boys team competed at East Dorset Tennis Club in County cup on 12th & 13th September 2026.

Day 1: On the first day the team played against the Channel Islands and Dorset. The match against Channel Islands was a really close encounter but the Cornwall boys unfortunately found themselves on the wrong side of the results with the only win coming from Joe. Dorset were next up and although it was another good performance from the team Dorset proved to strong and won the tie 6-0. The boys were all in good spirits and played with pride and were ready to take on Somerset on the following day.

Day 2:After the completion of the group stage Cornwall had to play Somerset in their final match. Again the entire team competed with grit and determination and fought for every point but were unable to overcome their opponent losing out 5-1 in rubbers with only Joe managing to win his match in dominant style.

Although the weekend didn’t prove successful with regards results, it is fair to say that the entire team played with pride and gave 100% to every ball and as a result will only come back stronger and more experienced for next time.

Well done everyone!
